Getting started with ReguWatch
Watch your key ingredients and get alerted when regulations change.
Getting started with ReguWatch
ReguWatch is your reference and early-warning tool: look up any ingredient's regulatory status across 22 markets, and add the ones that matter to a watchlist so you're alerted when their status changes. Regulations shift several times a year — ReguWatch is how you find out before it costs you. This guide covers searching, watching, and requesting ingredients we don't yet cover.
Step 1 — Search an ingredient
Open ReguWatch in the sidebar and type an ingredient name — caffeine, ephedra, retinol, CBD, and so on. ReguWatch shows its status across the markets we cover, including where it's permitted, restricted, scheduled, or prohibited.

Step 2 — Read an ingredient's status across markets
Open an ingredient to see its per-market picture. For substances in our verified database you'll see the status for each market, any conditions or thresholds that apply, and a link to the primary regulatory source with the date we last reviewed it — so you can check our reading against the real regulation.

Step 3 — Add an ingredient to your watchlist
Add the ingredients that matter to your products to My Watchlist, choosing which markets to watch. ReguWatch keeps an eye on them, so if a status changes in a market you care about, you're alerted — rather than finding out when a shipment is stopped.

Step 4 — Request an ingredient we don't cover yet
If you search for something we don't hold, use "Request an ingredient". Tell us the name and the markets you care about. Our team researches it, verifies each market's status against the primary source, and adds it — and you're notified when it's live so you can re-run your check. You can see the status of your own requests under "Your requests", and you can't accidentally submit the same one twice.

What it costs
- Searching and watching ingredients is included — looking up status and keeping a watchlist doesn't cost credits.
- Requesting an ingredient is free; we add it as part of growing the database.
A few tips
- Watch ingredients across every market you sell into, not just your home one — a status change abroad is exactly the kind of thing that's easy to miss.
- Use ReguWatch alongside FormulaGuard — ReguWatch is your ongoing radar; FormulaGuard checks a whole formulation in one pass.
- A status with a source and a recent review date is the strongest signal. Where a review date is older, treat it as a prompt to verify the current rule yourself. ReguWatch is guidance, not legal advice.
How the database grows
Every ingredient request from a customer helps the database grow toward what brands actually need. When you request something, you're not just helping yourself — you're shaping what we cover next.
